I plan on making my coat this year (plan being the key word) but I have not decided on a pattern yet.Meihttp://back2myroots-tm.blogspot.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7813212817291263893.post-44763112071263156712012-09-24T11:40:45.910+02:002012-09-24T11:40:45.910+02:00I'll keep an eye on your blog! Wouldn't use it if it was for free :) I'll try and see if I can get my hands on the previous winter issue!Lisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12481065265121629150noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7813212817291263893.post-51939324162570926762012-09-24T11:37:19.536+02:002012-09-24T11:37:19.536+02:00I didn't know there is something like a Finnis...I didn't know there is something like a Finnish body type :) I'm tempted to check the previous winter issues! I like the length of the first coat, too. Maybe I'll just use the same kind of boiled wool and lengther pattern nr. 3.Lisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12481065265121629150noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7813212817291263893.post-85525619241534042472012-09-23T19:02:03.167+02:002012-09-23T19:02:03.167+02:00I like the third one as well -- I'm about half...I like the third one as well -- I'm about half way through a winter coat -- I took a standard jacket pattern and lengthened it and added a hood (I agree about the cold necks being a problem) I'm nearly finished with the shell and am about to start in on the insulation.Allisonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01716213095620396409noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7813212817291263893.post-21929697361264645242012-09-23T16:54:15.354+02:002012-09-23T16:54:15.354+02:00Ya Otto is pretty awesome. The diagonal zipper one'd be best for riding (and the fabric is matlasse-quilted stuff-quite expensive + warm but I've never seen it in a fabric store..). I'd suggest their last winter issue if you're into jackets/ coats good for biking. I remember they had a pear shaped one that was more like a parka but would be cool to bike in. Back issues, pdfs of pattern descriptions and browse-throughs are on their website. Floorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12184298618917479202noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7813212817291263893.post-36692697351899512862012-09-23T11:12:13.804+02:002012-09-23T11:12:13.804+02:00I have sewn a few things from Ottobre and love the...I have sewn a few things from Ottobre and love them all! However I think I am their body type, being of Finnish origin :) The instructions are sufficient and I am considering a Duffle coat from a previous issue for next winter. I love the first coat in your selection - you could always add a fastener.Suehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01023115170916061414noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7813212817291263893.post-54354480842494452242012-09-23T10:49:44.497+02:002012-09-23T10:49:44.497+02:00A scarf for the Mister...
