NOTE: This giveaway is now closed!
Before I do a recap of your answers, I wanted to give huge thanks for your input on the Design Review surveys! To express my gratitude I've set up a little giveaway. I want to encourage you all to try an Indie pattern in case you haven't yet, so I'm giving away...
One Indie pattern of your choice!
Maybe one of these? Negroni shirt, Josephine tee, Thurlow Trousers, Briar Sweater, Robe Bleuet |
And a bonus birthday prize: This lovely cat jersey!
You can choose any indie pattern company, any pattern, it's not limited to the ones I've mentioned here. So if you'd like Tilly's Mathilde blouse, or the Elisalex Dress of By Hand London, it's all good. My birthday was Feb 18th, hence the bonus prize :). The fabric is a medium weight jersey of good quality, 1.5 by 1.5 meters (1.5 yards, 60" wide). Also seen here and here. I got it a few months ago but it's too patterny for me.
All I ask of you in return is to fill out one of the surveys. They're anonymous so I won't be able to check, but it would be nice if you'd do it anyway :) You can choose from these three:
Paper Goods
Style & Size
Instructions
And then let me know in your comment:
- which pattern you'd pick
- how to contact you
- Tweet about it
- Blog about it
Leave a separate comment for each entry. Entries are accepted until March 12th. This giveaway is open internationally. You can only win either one of the prizes, I'll draw first prize winner first. I am not sponsored by any indie pattern designer, this truly is a gift from me to you!
Good luck!
oki, i answered all 3 of them.. that's how mad about those cats am i :) and i wold like to contribute to you awesome future pattern company, too.. in case i win a pattern, i would choose belladone from deer and doe
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to reading your recap of our answers. :) I don't want to be in the contest because I know i have no time for any additional sewing projects right now, I just wanted to let you know I'm looking forward to finding out what you gleaned from our answers. :) Best of luck to you!
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, I love love the cat fabric!
ReplyDeleteI completed the 1st and the 3d surveys so far.. And my favourite pattern is Nicola from Victory patterns (just love those sleeves..)
Thanks for doing this giveaway!
Happy birthday! That cat fabric is sweet.
ReplyDeleteI completed the Style and Size survery. And as for the patterns... I can't see what all of them are! :(

DeleteHey Julianne, you can choose any Indie pattern you want, not just the ones in the photo!
DeleteOh wowza! That is awesome! In that case I have been eyeing Chloe: http://www.victorypatterns.com/products/chloe/
DeleteYay I've already filled them all out! I have all I need though, so please don't enter me in the giveaway, just saying Happy Birthday! Have an awesome day/year/decade/century XD
ReplyDeleteI've filled out them all too. I can't wait to see your patterns! I'd love the Undercover Hood by Papercut. And i'm ok for the fabric. I have to much as it is! Good luck in your patterns and happy birthday!
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteI answered your surveys :)
My pattern choice is the Sureau dress from Deer&Doe. Thanks for the contest!
Lucile)
I already filled them all out :) My pattern choice is the Belladonna Dress from Deer and Doe. The cat fabric is super cute but I don't know what I would use it for, so it sure probably go to someone with a plan.
ReplyDeleteHi, I've filled them all out! I would choose the undercover hood from Papercut Patterns. Can't wait to see what you come up with!
ReplyDeleteI answered all three of your questionnaires. :)
ReplyDeleteI would love either the cat jersey or Collete's Negroni.
I answered two of your surveys (for the other one, I really didn't have any strong opinion... so I kinda skipped :p). And I'd love to get the thurlow trousers. If I don't win, oh well... I'll just buy it, I really love indie pattern designers :)
ReplyDeleteI answered the first two of yout surveys.
ReplyDeleteI would love to have the Kelly skirt by Megan Nielsen and you can contact me via julialandolt ät msn punkt com
Looking forward to seeing the results of the surveys hope there were loads of great ideas!
ReplyDeleteI'm okay for the fabric but what I'd reeeeeeally like is some Thurlows, everyone's versions seem to turn out really well and they're in the same style as my favourite rtw jeans so roll on Thurlows
So I just did all three of them as well - and just wanted to say that I think your blog is great and very inspiring! I love your sense of style, it is the kind of style I have always wanted to have but never quite been able to achieve. I am working on it (and just resolved to take the not buying garments challenge!) and I can see this blog is going to help immensely! I would absolutely love the Renfew top pattern from Sewaholic, since I think you could really adapt a lot of garments from that one pattern. Also, I love the cat fabric ;) Good luck with the pattern drafting! Looking forward to seeing the results. I can be contacted at jmpp963 at gmail dot com.
ReplyDeleteI've been doing the questionnaires as you've posted them. I love your style and I'm excited to see the patterns you come up with for your company!!
ReplyDeleteNext up on my list of indie patterns to acquire is probably Colette's Lily dress. I love indie pattern companies so much and am excited to have you join them! :)
You can contact me at emilyannhopkins [AT] gmail [DOT] com
I've also been trying to keep up with the surveys as you post them... and Sew Liberated's new Clara Dress is absolutely adorable!
ReplyDeletethanks!!

New reader and sewist here. I answered all 3 surveys and I hope they help you determine your own patterns. I'm lusting over Tilly's Mathilde blouse, and I'm okay with the cat fabric. Thanks for the great giveaway!
ReplyDeletekamikazekisu [at] gmail [dot] com
I believe I filled out all your surveys. :) I would probably choose Colette's Beignet skirt or Sewaholic's Renfrew Top. I can be contacted at egholtrop at gmail dot com.
ReplyDeleteI already answered the first two surveys, but did not have much to add to the third one. I am excited to see what you come up with. I would love to win the new Archer pattern by Grainline. Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday and thanks for the giveaway! I can't remember, what survey I answered....so I did it all of them again :) I would looooove the Minoru jacket or the Mathilde blouse. Thanks!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHi, I answered all your surveys when you first posted each of them. I think I might have been the person you mentioned who wrote quite detailed responses! This giveaway is not showing up in my Google reader so I missed it until you mentioned it again. I'm glad you did, it's a cracker! My number 1 pattern would be the Simone dress by Victory Patterns. Thanks so much xx (meggipeg@rocketmail.com)
ReplyDeleteHappy belated birthday!
ReplyDeleteI think I've answered all three surveys now. They were interesting to do; I hope you're getting the information you need.
I would like to make the Matilda blouse! I'm fietspompje at gmail dot com.
Thanks!
Susan
I did answer those surveys. Super excited for your pattern line :) :) I think the indie pattern I'm most coveting right now is the tiramisu by Cake patterns!
ReplyDeleteAlso tweeted! :) I love cats and the Tiramisu dress by Cake patterns.
ReplyDeleteI was so confused about why I didn't see this the first time-- thanks for the explanation! So many fantastic choices-- I have a couple Deer & Doe, Colette, and Papercut designs all on my list. I am really itching to make Grainline's new Arcger, though, and think I would go with that!
ReplyDeleteI don't want to confuse things by leaving an extra comment, but I also wanted to say that that fabric is awesome!!
DeleteI also give it a try!
ReplyDeleteI'd like to make the Renfrew Top (Sewaholic), maybe in the cat jersey ;-)
iederedonderdag@gmail.com
I got excited and filled them all out! Can't wait to see what you come up with! For what's on the market right now, I'm most coveting Grainline's new shirt and the Paper Cut patterns pleated trouser :)
ReplyDeleteOh, what a difficult choice... The patterns I'd like to try the most are the Belladone dress by Deer & Doe and the Skinny Jeans by SewLiberated. But there are so many others...;) There are a few patterns mentioned in the comments above that sound so interesting..
ReplyDeleteThanks for this great giveaway!
Everybody is crazy about Renfrew top! I'd love to give it a try, not to mention i'm cats loving lady :D

ReplyDeleteI LOVE the Elisalex Dress!!! And the Cat Jersey, by the way.... Great Blog - thank you!
ReplyDeleteI'm very curious about your first pattern, hope it'll come out soon! Great pick of fabric and I'd pick the papercut as I haven't tried out one of theirs before, thank you for having such a good giveaway! You can contact me via sinophie at hotmail dot com.
ReplyDeleteWhat a generous giveaway! I will complete all 3 surveys for you. If I had to choose a pattern, it would be the Darling Ranges dress by Megan Nielsen. It's been on my mind for a while now! diveinsew@live.com
ReplyDeleteI've only recently found your blog, so I hope it's ok to fill in your surveys and enter. I answered all three, and can't wait to read what others answered.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the great giveaway, I would love the Elisalex dress :-)
I'll complete all three of those surveys for you. :)
ReplyDeleteThat cat jersey is pretty cool!
ANY indie pattern?!... Wow, maybe the Briar top from Megan Nielsen? I've also been interested to try something from Victory Patterns, maybe the Ava or Anouk dress.
I think I'd already filled all three of them out when they were posted. I hadn't seen this giveaway before due to the Google Reader issue, so thanks for reposting about it! And wow, any indie pattern... I'll have to do some more research, but the only companies I've tried patterns from so far have been Colette and Sewaholic-- I have two from Cake Patterns but haven't had time to sew them up yet. So I might want to try out one of the other ones you've been mentioning.
ReplyDeleteI've answered all 3 and I wouldn't mind a Bleuet or a Sewaholic pattern, I hear she has a trench coat coming out.
ReplyDeleteI filled out all three of your surveys as you posted them partly because pattern creation interests me and partly because I just like filling out surveys! Very cute fabric! I've always wanted to try a Papercut pattern, probably their Watson jacket
ReplyDeletecount me in - these looks great.
ReplyDeleteI also completed all 3. I can't wait to see what people thought! Also good luck with your pattern-making!
ReplyDeleteI have to say that I have hold my eye on Elisalex Dress for sooooooo long... I would be so happy to got it:)
Also the fabric is fabulous!
Good luck!
I would love a pattern from Hot patterns. Of all the indie companies they are my favorite because they have a wide selection of patterns their styles are current and from the reviews I have read seem to be very well drafted.

I just completed the Size and Style questionnaire, I had been putting it off because I wanted to really give it some thought but I think I got all my points in there! I had already completed the other two when they came out.
ReplyDeleteI am very excited for your pattern making venture. Whilst I'm not much of one for blog commenting I will take this opportunity to tell you honestly that you are my favourite of the 15 or so blogs that I follow. I'm always pleased to see Small Things in my inbox!
To business: the Robe Bleuet would be my choice. h(d)olivia(d)hart(a)gmail(d)com. xx
Oh no! It looks like I missed your deadline. It's still the 12th here in the US :)
